Fake hair can seem weird at first. But if you think about it, it's really no different than enhancing your look in other ways, such as makeup, jewelry or nail polish, which you're probably already doing. Having a ready-made hairstyle hanging up like a pretty scarf can give you beauty confidence when your hair is fighting you.
Key to a successful fake do is shopping at a wig place and spending a little extra rather than buying an obviously cheap clip-on at the drug store. Take a friend or ask the clerk to help you match the shade if you're using a ponytail or other style that exposes part of your natural hair.
And have fun. It's useful to pick a style similar to your own hair, but it's also a blast to wear a totally different look -- long straight hair instead of your short curly do can make you feel like a new girl for a day.
Best of all, your fake hair looks good even if you've overslept and have 5 minutes to get ready. Not much else in life is that forgiving. So get out of bed and get yourself a new do.
