Marc Jacobs has earned his way to becoming a fashion icon, as a leading designer for Marc Jacobs products. The world famous designer is known for his diffusion line Marc by Marc Jacobs, as well as being the Creative Director of the prominent French design house known as Louis Vuitton. Designer Marc Jacobs is said to be recognized as New York’s very own homegrown fashion genius, although there is no doubt he has earned his high class reputation worldwide. Marc Jacobs Showed an Early Interest in FashionThe designer was born in the year of 1963 in New York City. It didn’t take long for the young boy to start reaching for his goals in fashion, as he landed a job working as a stock boy at Charivari, a NYC boutique. He not only worked in the field of fashion as stock boy, yet he also spent the remainder of his time attending a High School of art and design. With serious determination at such a young age, it didn’t take long for outsiders to realize his passion for fashion was going to lead him to success. Designer Marc Jacobs was Determined to SucceedImmediately after Marc Jacobs graduated in 1981, he entered into the fashion world of Parson School of Design, located in New York City. The designer Marc Jacobs won a couple major awards during his schooling with Parsons as his true talents began to show through. After Designer Marc Jacob‘s schooling had ended at Parson School of Design, he then landed a job with Perry Ellis, where he caught people’s attention with his “grunge” collection, later leading him to being let go. Marc Jacob’s was not about to give up on his lifelong dreams, as he moved on and joined together with Robert Duffy to start designing his own line of fashion products. It wasn’t long before designer Marc Jacob’s was given the fashion industries highest tribute, the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) award, for new founded talent. He was the youngest designer to have ever received a CFDA award. In the year of 1989 Marc Jacobs and Duffy teamed up to create the women’s design unit of Tristan Russo. Jacob’s was in charge of directing the women’s licensees. As 1992 rolled around, the Fashion Council Designers of America once again awarded designer Marc Jacobs with the Designer of The Year Award. By the end of 1997, Marc Jacobs had his own line of menswear, as well as landed the title “Creative Director” for French house Louis Vuitton. With his major success, he then decided to launch his first ready-to-wear-line. The World Famous Designer has Worked His way up to the Forefront of FashionIt is quite clear that designer Marc Jacobs has earned his way to the forefront of fashion. During his most recent years as a fashion designer, he has quadrupled his brand with his world famous collection Marc Jacobs, as well as his less expensive line, Marc by Marc Jacobs. He has managed to open 160 shops in a total of 19 countries worldwide.
