Eyeliner gives you the most dramatic result for your eyes. Every make-up wearing woman should learn to use liner, whether shadow, liquid or pencil, for beautiful eyes.

Almost every make-up wearing woman uses some sort of eyeliner. Women are more likely to wear liner than mascara on their eyes, and much more prone to liner than shadow.

There's good reason for that. It gives you a lot of oomph for very little effort. I knew one woman who used the tiniest ever bit of black liner on her lids during a hospital stay. You never know who might come to visit. I suspect I'm the only visitor who noticed it.

You can apply liner with a pencil, liquid or wet shadow. Most of us are familiar with the pencil variety as they're readily available and the easiest to use. They don't always have the most lasting power, however, or the most dramatic results.

For drama, you need liquid. A well-applied black liquid liner on your top lid only is not only striking, but classic too. Add some mascara and lipstick, and you're ready for anything.

Lastly, there is shadow applied with a wet liner brush. I've never been a big fan of this because it seems like too much trouble, but plenty of pros swear by it. It also has plenty of stamina.

Whatever else you choose for your eyes, don't neglect the liner. It is the one thing that makes you look the most awake and polished. It's an instant beautifier for eyes, so don't skip it.
