The PedEgg is a popular portable pedicure product. PedEgg has been featured online, television, and in print all over the world. Does PedEgg work as well as it claims?

What is PedEgg?

The PedEgg is a precision foot file that was specifically created to remove dead skin and hard calluses from the feet. PedEgg also comes with emery pads to help smooth and soften more delicate areas of the feet.

Three features are revolutionary about the PedEgg.

  • First, it is made of precision, stainless steel microfiles.
  • Second, it is encased in plastic with a removable top cover, so there is no mess.
  • Third, the unique “egg” design is ergonomically designed to fit in the palm of the hand which makes it easy to use as well as comfortable.

How to use the PedEgg?

  1. First, make sure the feet are clean and dry. The PedEgg cannot be used on wet skin. Also make sure the PedEgg is clean from any previous use.
  2. With a secure grip, gentle begin to rub the PedEgg in up and down motion on the feet. Start with the hardest calluse. PedEgg must be used in a back and forth motion, any other type of movement can cause damage to the skin.
  3. Stop often to check on the progress the PedEgg is making. When healthy skin has been revealed, stop use of the PedEgg. If pain or soreness is felt, stop immediately.
  4. When finished, remove the top cover, toss out dead skin that is collected. Thoroughly wash the PedEgg.

PedEgg Review:

When if comes to removing dead skin cells and calluses from feet, the PedEgg does just that. It does easily remove any rough areas on the foot which makes it an essential pedicure tool in any pedicure kit. However there were a few things that could be changed about this product that would make it perfect.

First, not all of the dead skin stays trapped in the chamber. As the PedEgg is used, some of the dead skin begins to fall out through the same holes in the microfile. Pretty soon the user will have dead skin all over which does not make for easy cleanup as well as being disgusting.

The top cover is hard to remove to be able to remove the rest of the dead skin that did not fall out while it was being used. The best way to remove the top cover was by using some sort of key or knife to push it apart.

The feature that would make the PedEgg remarkable would be to be able to use it while the feet are wet. The best part of any pedicure, whether at home or in a spa, is a relaxing foot bath. Too long a soak will make the PedEgg impossible to use.
