A girlfriend and I named this disease, but nearly everyone I mention it to understands immediately what it is. In case they're just being nice and it's not so self-explanatory, I'm talking about the kind of toes, especially toenails, you often seen on old men who go around in sandals, oblivious to their effect on the rest of us. Cracked, long, yellowed nails with former cuticles now taking on a hard overcoat of their own. Sometimes the nails are dirty to boot. Do we really have to be subjected to this? Get a pedicure!
