I had a lovely pedicure recently, one of the best ever. Usually, I suffer through a self-pedicure, but now and then I splurge. On this occasion, the wonderful woman (who massaged, masked and scrubbed my calves while she was at it) happened to notice that "someone" had been using a file to sand my toenails free of polish stains. I sheepishly confessed the someone was me. By this time, she had my toenails looking so beautiful they didn't need polish, something I fall short of, but she taught me a trick. She said it's okay to use a file to buff your nails IF you wet it first with some gel soap. Who knew? I can't wait to get back to her for another luxurious treat.
