It almost makes me grimmace to say it, but 80's hair (and everything else) is making a comeback. So far, the hairstyle is a bit of a softer curl, and the tendency is to keep the top straight, starting the curl about an inch or two down. But if you like a little lift at the roots, a diffuser will help inject volume on top without blowing your curls into a frizzy mess. There is also a version made for straight hair now, which has very long prongs to help add lift at the top and a smooth finish.
